Min. De Edwards
I am a member of A Church for All Metropolitan Community Church, in Sacramento, where I serve as a Lay Minister. Currently, I am part of the Healing and Deliverance Ministry and the BOI support group. I am a graduate of Pacific School of Religion (PSR), where I obtained my Certificate of Ministry in May 2010. I will receive my Associate of Arts Degree (A.A) in Communication from University of Phoenix in May 2012. Following same, I intend on obtaining my Master of Divinity (MDiv), by furthering my education at PSR, fulfilling my purpose to Pastor and bringing comfort to all people, using the tools that God has given me. I am engaged to my best friend of 6 years, who has been my partner for 2 years. Together we are raising our 11-year- old son who is, indeed, a gift from God. I am honored to serve as the TransSaints Western Region Assistant Minister. In this position, with the support of the community as a whole, I believe I can be of tremendous benefit to the ministry. Most important, I look forward to all I will learn as we share one with another. My passion is to reach out to other individuals who may not know where they fit into the LGBTQI community and help them discover who God has called them to be. Additionally, to provide spiritual insight to the concept that to be transgender is to have a transformation of the mind regarding one’s gender. Likewise, I desire to awaken and educate others to the reality that we are one in the body of Christ, and as such, we are all connected regardless of the subgroups to which we belong, our appearance, labels given, or how we identify. Similarly, my goal is to bridge the gap between the Trans community and women who call themselves butches and studs. Furthermore, it is my intent to foster effective communication between both groups, creating spiritual awareness, harmony, and radical acceptance of self and others. I am open to whatever God’s will is for me and this ministry and I expect Him to surprise me each day.
