Joshua A. Holiday
I am a Native New Yorker, born on July 13, 1964, in Harlem and raised in the Bronx. I have lived in both Louisville, KY and Charlotte, NC and am now settling in for a long stay in the Atlanta metro area. I served in the US Army and attended Bennett College in Greensboro, NC. I am the godson of Bishop Zachary G. Jones and Rev. Nora Ann Thompson of Unity Fellowship Church in Brooklyn, NY. I have worked for and been affiliated with several NYC non profits, including Housing Works, Inc, NYC Harm Reduction, Sylvia Rivera Law Project, Queers for Economic Justice and the Audre Lourde Project. While in Louisville, KY, I was one of 3 major individuals that organized a the Transsistahs-Transbrothas Conference. I am a new student at the Barbara King Ministerial School, based out of Hillside International Chapel and Truth Center, here in Atlanta. I am a member of The Shepherd's Table Covenant Church and Hillside International. I continue to be a part of the transgender activist community. A proud member of the Leather community and I am a Empowerment Facilitator with R.E.A.L/T, a program run out of Someone Cares.
